About us

„We are PasiónAzul, a cello and guitar duo, and for almost three years now we've spent many hours studying, rehearsing, and sharing the stage together in concert. While we are passionate about what we do and diligent with our music, we love to explore and create spontaneous new musical experiences as well. Our repertoire includes Classical music, World music (Brazilian, Celtic, Flamenco, etc.) as well as many of our own compositions. At this time, we have completed recording our first album which offers the listener a taste of these genres. We have also given live concerts across Spain, Germany, and Portugal, always to wonderful and appreciative audiences. This, of course, has encouraged us to continue on our path, and reminds us as well of the great transformative power of music. Through each concert, we seek to bring our audience with us into these memorable instances that connect us all to something deeper, something higher and truer. It is a joy to see this happen through what we bring to each stage. The greatest gift to us as performers is being able to bring unique musical moments to our audiences, moments that remain suspended outside of time, eternal moments, which can produce a unique experience for each person. For us, each concert is a living experience where what happens between us and the audience is always unique. PasiónAzul offers its listeners a journey of sound where it's the sensitivity and energy of musical passion that inspires and transforms us all.“

Sunita Mamtani,

born in Munich, grew up in a multicultural, artistic surrounding and got her first cellolesson when she was 9 years old. Until then music already has been very present in her family and became a natural mean of expression. After school she studied  at the Music Academy in Munich and finished the studies with the pedagogical Master as well as the artistic Master and the Master in chamber music. She got a scholarship of the Bavarian Orchestra Academy and was a member of  „Live Music Now“  an organisation founded by Sir Yehudi Menuhin with various chamber music ensembles.  Since her youth she has gained experience in various orchestras and chamber music groups as well as a soloist(e.g. in Croatia, Spain, Portugal, Japan, Germany) and has always been inspired by many great teachers such as Katalin Rootering, Reiner Ginzel, F. Berger, Menahem Pressler and Janos Starker and many more.

Through all those influences, togehter with her profound musicality and sensibility, she developed to an outstanding cellist who moves her audience and takes them into a profound musical experience.

Besides she is a very passionate teacher since many years for students of all ages and in an inspiring way she introduces them to the musicworld.
